Horsebox Conversions

Imagine a horsebox. Probably a pretty standard one comes to mind, nothing too outlandish, just a regular, average, horsebox. But what if we told you that instead of having that standard, relatively unexciting horsebox you could convert something awesome into your horsebox instead? You may be thinking, what are you talking about? A horsebox is a horsebox.

In fact, many things can be turned into horseboxes! Renault Masters, Vauxhall Movano vans, RVs, and more. This may sound totally bizarre, but in fact it`s really awesome. Here are some reasons why you might want to consider a horsebox conversion.

Repurpose an Old Van/Trailer While you don`t want to use a van or trailer that`s totally beat up and in horrible shape (although it`s still possible, just more work), if you have an old van or trailer that you were going to sell or scrap, it may be time to think about converting it into a horsebox rather than wasting it. Although you`ll have to invest a bit into repurposing this vehicle into a horsebox, you can think of it as now not needing to buy a new horsebox or, depending on you situation, not buying one at all.

Your Horsebox Will Have A History
This isn`t a major draw from some people, but having a horsebox that means something rather than just a commercial one that you bought can be kind of special. It also ensures that you have a one of a kind horsebox if you like to go against the grain.

Could Lower Costs Unlike point one, you could be in need for a horsebox and instead go out and buy a van or trailer that`s used, affordable and still in good shape with excellent mileage and then convert it into a horsebox. Although it may seem like a roundabout way of getting one, you`ll probably save a bit of money and it`ll be more fun and special at the end.

You may wonder how this is done and there are a couple of major things that we do to convert another vehicle into a horsebox. We line the walls of the vehible, like you would with any other horsebox, and put down rubber flooring. White ply goes on the walls and we put up a full padded partition gate, much like you`d find in any other horsebox. We then install all the extra necessary things like a head guard, full breast bar, roof vent, windows and everything else that`s necessary to the safety of your horse.

Getting a horsebox conversion is actually a really neat idea, so if you`re thinking of converting a vehicle into a horsebox, fill out our contact form and let`s talk about what you might be planning on doing!
